A credit card has become almost a necessity in the modern way of life. We need a credit card to make online purchases, to pay for our utility bills, and also to make payments when it becomes extremely difficult to bring along all that cash. Though most people in the US have a credit card, and some of them even have several cards, there are still some individuals who don’t have a card. Even today. In most instances, these people have such a low credit score that no card issuing company would agree to take the risk of approving a card for them.

But there’s still hope for these people. They should try a secured credit card, instead of the traditional non-secured cards. There are quite a few secured credit cards in the market now, and the Public Savings Bank secured card is one of them. Is it a good choice? Let us investigate.

The Public Savings Bank secured card is approved by VISA, and it can be used for making payments at all those places that accept VISA. The fact that you have a secured card, and not the traditional non secured card, will not come in the way. Your only restriction is your credit limit.

How This Credit Card Saves You Money Over Time

The great news about this card is that, you do not have to pay any annual fees for this one. You will however have to pay an application fee for getting it. This is $75 – but you just pay it once. Most other secured cards on the other hand will charge you an annual fee that might be as high as $59. So the Public Savings Bank secured card will provide you savings over time. If you use such a card for a few years, you would have run into hundreds of dollars – this is money well saved.

The fees are reasonable too. There is no penalty APR for the Public Savings Bank secured card at this time. So you can save money on the APR as well, though, you should make every frantic effort never to miss your payments. Because if you do, your poor credit score, which is already low, will suffer again. So at least pay the minimum amount due, and make the payments before the due date. On the other hand, if you are paying back on time, then you can be sure that your credit score will improve.
